While walking in my neighborhood I stumbled across this piece of wood on the sidewalk. Each end belonged to a child with a warning telling the other child not to touch. I was struck by the ingenuity and adaptation of their parents. It was great they were able to find a way to let their children play while social distancing. This also made me think about the affects the pandemic may have on this generation mentally, emotionally, and economically. Will the world be forever changed by the pandemic? Will these children even know what life was like before? I worry for them just as a worry for all of us.
