Pandemic Highlights Existing Problems Faced by Many Graduate Students

I have noticed that the pandemic has exacerbated or highlighted many problems that already were prevalent before. Before many grad students had insufficient stipends and poor work-life balance. Now grad students still are making the same amount of money and are expected to do the same amount of work where they also sleep, eat, and relax. Additionally, many grad students are unable to perform research which pushes their timelines back and raises the issue of future funding if they do not finish in time.
