Unequal Access to Play Space

I have noticed that restrictions put in place as a result of COVID-19 have created unequal access to play and recreation spaces for many families. Many playgrounds have been closed down, and the only places to play are in private backyards. Many families don't have access to backyards or the space to play, and as a result I have seen many more families bringing their kids to abandoned lots to play. I also wonder how these families are impacted by loss of child care. Many parents are now working from home while simultaneously taking care of their children creating more stress in their daily lives. I suspect COVID-19 has made it hard to find accessible childcare as well as find places for kids to safely play.
